In total the Monocular Video Awards 2017 reached 10,106,970 hunters, predominantly in the markets of Denmark, the USA, the UK, Spain and Germany. Within these markets it was men aged 25-34 who consumed the most content.

The best performing videos were picked up and shared by other hunting brands, magazines and hunting "celebrities" unconnected with the awards, further cementing the influence of the Monocular Video Awards' message.

By distributing videos in a brand safe environment provided by the Monocular, these received almost only positive reactions. Given the controversy surrounding hunting and hunting related content, the Video Awards performed incredibly well.

The Challenge

Three leading outdoor brands; Blaser, Sitka & Garmin wanted to increase their reach and engagement with their relevant target audiences. At the same time they wanted a platform where they could give back to the global hunting community.

The Concept

To assist the three brands with their business objectives, Monocular created an international video awards from scratch in collaboration with the brands. User generated content was submitted from all over the world relating to different aspects of hunting. Monocular then activated the concept with video distribution at scale across a range of online and offline media

The Results

The video awards became the world's most exposed hunting video awards with a reach of +10 million. The concept and the brands associated were highly exposed across both traditional and digital media, with key publications, influential hunters and conservation groups sharing related content.
